andon, Oregon is my favorite place to go on the Oregon Coast. It boasts beautiful tide pools, soft, sandy beaches, beautiful rock outcroppings such as Face Rock, gorgeous sunsets, and the added bonus is that it’s never crowded. Low tides reveal anemones and starfish, and with the help of water and wind leave sculpted sand patterns that are intricate and striking in their beauty as only nature can create. Therein lies my inspiration for this pattern. Cables ripple up between sand patterns to the crown where a petal-like pattern reminiscent of a sand dollar rests on top, although sand dollars have 5 petals and the hat ends with 6 petals. Super soft and full of texture, this has become one of my favorite hats to wear. Materials: ♥ Berroco Tuscan Tweed (120yds/50g) ~ I used color #9003, 1 skein for small, 2 skeins for large.
