Lace Cardigan is a Spincraft Pattern. Skill Level: Experienced. Once you get the hang of the lace pattern on this sweater, it is not too hard. the actual shaping is pretty easy and straight-forward. Yarn Suggestion: Best with a fine to medium weight yarn. Will need approximately 14 to 22 ounces, depending on what type of fiber you are using, size and length of sweater. Mine is made with a very fine flax, and weighs 14 ounces. Ready for some lace? I knit my sweater with lovely Euroflax linen yarn. It has a wonderful drape and feel. Any fine yarn will do. Sweater is knit from the bottom up. A modified raglan decrease forms the yoke which is finished with saddle shoulder. No need to shape the neck. It's like magic! Then sleeves are joined at gusset and worked to cuff. A delightful experience. As with all SpinCraft Knitting Patterns this sweater can be knit to any size, using almost any yarn. What you will do is measure yourself, measure the gauge that comes from your yarn, and then perform some easy calculations to get the figures needed to knit this sweater. You are the designer!
