Twizzle Foot from Mountain Colors 53% superwash Merino wool / 17% domestic wool / 17% silk / 13% nylon 3.5 oz. reeled hank / 450 yards 6-7 sts / in on US 2-4 hand wash / dry flat or dry clean spun and dyed in the U.S. Twizzle Foot is a knockout, thanks to the way that is it dyed. A silk/wool ply and two wool/nylon plies are twisted together and then dyed. The silk takes the dye differently, so the yarn looks like a barber pole. Once you have knitted it, the fabric has a tweedy look, with lots of variation but also richness and depth. Try it for socks, mittens, or an elegant lace shawl.
