Sculptured Squares: 12 Easy to Knit Squares Combine to Make This Striking Afghan

Twelve different easy-to-knit squares combine to make this striking afghan and pillow set. This knit project was designed by Lesley Caraway and includes square designs such as Tulips, Shadow Box, X-Star, Butterfly, Traveling Cable #1, Pansy, Square Dance, Moorish Circle, Gull Cable, 8 Point Flower, Scallops and Traveling Cable #2. These squares are sure to provide endless design inspiration! The designs are knitted using worsted weight yarn, size 8 (5.00) 16" (40.5 cm) and 24" (61 cm) circular knitting needles, and a size H (5.00) crochet hook; some designs also call for a cable needle. The 12 different squares combine into an afghan or used for pillows. The approximate design sizes include: the afghan measuring 48" x 60" and each pillow is a 12" x 12" square. An intermediate skill level is suggested to complete these projects.
