Solar Flares Hat Knitting Pattern

Solar Flares is a colourwork hat knitting pattern by Lorna Pearman of Peargirl Knits. She designed it for her grandson, who likes motorcycles with flames.

It's worked in stranded colourwork with two contrasting colours of worsted yarn.

• Craft: Knitting
• Sizes: Head circumference 18–19" (20–21", 22–23")
• Yarn: Worsted weight in 2 colours, 200 yds (shown in Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride Worsted)
• Needles: US 5 and 6 (3.75 and 4 mm)
• Gauge: 22 sts = 4" (10 cm) in stockinette
• Format: Printed pattern
