Returns & Refunds Policy

At The Knit Shop, we want you to love your yarn and supplies. If something isn't right, we're here to help.

Return Window
You may return eligible items within 30 days of delivery for a refund or exchange.

What We Accept
We accept returns of items that are unused and in their original, resalable condition with all original labels and ball bands intact. This includes:
- Yarn that is still in its original skein, hank, or ball and has not been wound, caked, or worked with
- Needles, hooks, and notions in unopened or unused condition
- Tools and accessories in original packaging

What We Cannot Accept
To keep our products safe and fresh for every customer, the following are final sale and not eligible for return:
- Yarn that has been wound, caked, partially used, or worked with
- Digital patterns, downloads, and gift cards
- Items marked "Final Sale" or "Clearance"
- Items returned after the 30-day window or without original labels

Because yarn is dyed in batches, dye lots can vary slightly between orders. We're glad to confirm available dye lots before you purchase—just reach out.

How to Start a Return
1. Email us at returns@knit-shop.com within 30 days of delivery with your order number and the item(s) you'd like to return.
2. We'll reply within 1-2 business days with a return authorization and the return shipping address.
3. Pack the item securely in its original condition and ship it to the address provided. Return shipping is paid by the customer unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect.

Damaged or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives damaged or you received the wrong item, email us at returns@knit-shop.com within 7 days of delivery with a photo, and we'll make it right at no cost to you.

Refund Processing Time
Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll email you to confirm. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5-7 business days. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take an additional few business days for the funds to appear.
