Hellen's Favorite Socks FTAC36 Fiber Trends

Hellen's Favorite Socks is a knitting pattern by Hellen Biggers for Fiber Trends (AC-36). Hellen learned to knit socks from her mother in Germany and developed this pattern for the sock classes at her shop, Hellen's Needlework, in Mount Vernon, Washington.

The socks are knit cuff-down with a heel flap in your choice of sock, sport or worsted yarn. Cuffs come in mock cable, lace rib or 3/1 rib, worked straight or with a turning row to fold back.

• Sizes: Average adult; length adjustable. Fits a medium to wide foot, with gauge notes for a narrower foot
• Yarn: Sock (fingering) 420 yds (384 m); sport 360 yds (329 m); worsted 300 yds (273 m)
• Needles: Set of 5 double-pointed needles: US 1½ or 2 for sock, US 3 or 4 for sport, US 4 or 5 for worsted
• Format: Printed pattern

Good for: a first pair of socks, or a wardrobe of everyday socks.
