Malabrigo Sock 870 Candombe

Candombe (named for the Afro-Uruguayan drumming tradition) is colour 870 of Malabrigo Sock.

Malabrigo Sock is a soft, smoothly plied fingering weight superwash merino with a slight sheen. Despite the name, it's as popular for shawls and lightweight garments as for socks; for hard-wearing socks, Ultimate Sock adds nylon.

• Fiber: 100% superwash merino wool

• Needles: US 1–3 (2.25–3.25 mm)
• Gauge: 32 sts = 4" (10 cm) in stockinette
• Crochet hook: B–E (2.25–3.5 mm)
• Care: Machine wash gentle, cold; lay flat to dry; do not tumble dry

Good for: shawls, scarves, lightweight garments, baby things, gloves and socks.

Every skein is hand-dyed, so colour shifts a little from skein to skein and lot to lot. Buy enough for the whole project, and on larger pieces alternate two skeins every few rows.
