Fortaleza is colour 722 of Malabrigo Washted.

Washted is the machine-washable version of Malabrigo Worsted: the same soft single-ply merino and the same weight, given a superwash treatment so it can go in the washer. It can stand in for Worsted in any pattern.

• Fiber: 100% superwash merino wool
• Weight: Worsted / Aran (4)
• Skein: 210 yds (192 m) / 100 g
• Needles: US 7–9 (4.5–5.5 mm)
• Gauge: 18 sts = 4" (10 cm) in stockinette
• Care: Machine wash gentle, cold; lay flat to dry

Good for: sweaters, hats, cowls and anything worn next to the skin that needs easy care.

Every skein is hand-dyed, so colour shifts a little from skein to skein and lot to lot. Buy enough for the whole project, and on larger pieces alternate two skeins every few rows.
