Personal Touch Felt Hat Pattern (AC-24)

Personal Touch is a felted hat knitting pattern from Fiber Trends (AC-24), designed by Bev Galeskas, with sizes for children and adults. The plain felted shape is meant to be decorated in your own style.

The hat is knit in one or two colours of wool and then felted; the final size depends on how much you felt it and how you block it. Test-felt your yarns together first, as even two colours of the same yarn can shrink at different rates.

• Craft: Knitting
• Sizes: Small (child) and large (adult) – fits head up to 21 (23)" / 55 (60) cm
• Yarn: Worsted weight wool or wool–mohair that felts easily: 225 (280) yds for one colour, or 140 (185) yds main plus 90 (100) yds contrast
• Needles: US 10½ 24" circular and double-pointed needles, plus a smaller spare circular (US 6 or 7) for picking up
• Gauge: 14 sts = 4" (10 cm) before felting
• Notions: Size J crochet hook and about 5 yds of waste cotton for the cast-on
• Format: Printed pattern
