Winter in The City (Felt Hat & Muff) Pattern FTAC56 Fiber Trends

Winter in the City is a felted hat and muff knitting pattern by Bev Galeskas for Fiber Trends (AC-56). A novelty yarn felted in with the wool gives both pieces a fur look.

The hat felts to fit most adults; the felting time and blocking set the exact size.

• Craft: Knitting and felting
• Finished size: Hat: most adults. Muff: about 12" long × 8" across
• Yarn: Hat: about 345 yds worsted wool that felts and 90 yds furry novelty yarn. Muff: 170 yds wool and 120 yds novelty yarn
• Needles: US 10½ (6.5 mm) and US 11 (8 mm) 24" circulars; for the hat, US 10½ double-pointed needles and a spare circular at least 3 sizes smaller; J crochet hook for the cast-on
• Gauge: 15 sts = 4" with one strand of wool on the smaller needle, before felting
• Format: Printed pattern
